Guided Talent is pleased to present an exciting opportunity to join the largest Service and Sales support network within the UK Sheet Metal Industry. This is a permanent, full-time role within the Service Department, primarily focused on the routine servicing of machines and associated equipment across designated areas, including Cambridge, Oxford and Southend-on-Sea . The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their skills progressively, moving towards diagnosing and resolving machine faults, training customers in operation, maintenance, and safety procedures, and supporting machine installations and factory relocations. Additionally, promoting parts sales and maintenance contracts, as well as machine tool sales, will be integral to the role. Flexibility regarding working hours and travel commitments is essential, alongside a strong commitment to excellent customer service and high standards of conduct.
- Relevant engineering qualification such as HNC/HND, Apprenticeship, or higher
- Basic electrical, electronic, and hydraulic knowledge, including fault finding and schematic interpretation
- Strong electrical fault finding skills and schematic understanding
- Experience with PLCs and mechanical systems; Fanuc experience is a plus
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and professional in appearance and approach
- Capable of working independently and managing pressure effectively
- Flexible with working hours and willing to travel as required
- Excellent communication skills suited to all organisational levels
- A full clean UK driving licence (3 points considered)
