Guided Talent is recruiting for an Installation Engineer to join the largest Service and Sales support network within the UK Sheet Metal Industry. This is a permanent, full-time position based within the Service Department, offering the opportunity to work across the UK (Mainly the midlands) with frequent travel and flexible working hours. The role involves the installation of innovative equipment at customer sites, providing training on operation, maintenance, and safety procedures, as well as performing routine servicing of machines and related equipment. The Installation Engineer will diagnose and resolve machine breakdowns, promote tooling sales, and support the sale of maintenance contracts and machine tools, including the commissioning of state-of-the-art machinery both domestically and internationally.
- A suitable engineering qualification
- Understanding of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings and systems
- 50/50 Mechanical/Electrical bias
- Strong PC skills
- Willingness to work away regularly and travel domestically and overseas
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel commitments
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and professional in presentation
- Ability to work independently and handle pressure effectively
- Excellent communication skills at all organisational levels
