Junior Welder (MIG & TIG)
Location: Near Crawley, West Sussex
Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 per annum (DOE)
Our client, a growing and well-established engineering company near Crawley, is seeking a motivated Junior Welder to join their expanding fabrication team. This role is ideal for someone with basic experience in MIG and TIG welding who is looking to build a long-term career with excellent opportunities for training and development.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support the fabrication and welding of metal components for a range of high-quality products. This is a hands-on workshop role, offering full exposure to MIG and TIG welding, fabrication techniques, and working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium depending on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting with MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal components.

Preparing materials, cutting, grinding, and supporting fabrication processes.

Working from technical drawings and build instructions.

Ensuring all welding work meets quality and safety standards.

Maintaining workshop equipment and keeping work areas clean and organised.

Supporting senior welders and engineers on bespoke or complex builds.

Learning new welding and fabrication skills to progress within the team.
Key Requirements

Some experience with MIG and/or TIG welding (education, apprenticeship, or practical workshop experience).

Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions.

Strong attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality work.

A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Good understanding of workshop safety.
