Mechanical Assembler
Location: Horley, Surrey
Salary: £25,000 – £29,000 per annum
Guided Talent is recruiting a Mechanical Assembler on behalf of our client, a specialist engineering business involved in the manufacture and assembly of high-precision equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical mechanical assembly or engineering experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing equipment to a high standard. The successful candidate will be comfortable using a range of hand tools, following technical instructions and working accurately with mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Assembler, your responsibilities will include:
- Building and assembling high-precision mechanical equipment and components
- Using hand tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
- Following engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical specifications
- Fitting, adjusting and aligning mechanical components
- Checking completed assemblies to ensure they meet required quality standards
- Identifying and reporting any component, assembly or quality issues
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Working closely with engineering and production colleagues to ensure equipment is completed accurately and on schedule
Skills & Experience
Our client is looking for someone with:
- Previous experience within mechanical assembly, equipment building, manufacturing or a similar engineering environment
- Good practical ability and confidence using hand tools
- A strong eye for detail and the ability to work accurately
- An understanding of mechanical components and assembly techniques
- The ability to follow technical drawings, instructions or build documentation
- Good problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to work
- A relevant college-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline
Experience working with precision equipment, instrumentation, machinery or specialist engineering products would be particularly advantageous.
