Production Planner
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
Our client, a growing and forward-thinking manufacturing business in Basingstoke, is seeking an organised and detail-driven Production Planner to join their expanding operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or operations coordination to take on a varied and impactful role within a rapidly developing company.
About the Role
The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling daily production activities across multiple manufacturing methods, including assembly, fitting, and general mechanical build processes. The successful candidate will ensure production lines are optimised, materials are available, and schedules are met to support on-time delivery and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

Coordinating production activities across assembly, fitting, and other manufacturing processes.

Monitoring progress, identifying bottlenecks, and adjusting plans as required.

Working closely with production, engineering, procurement, and quality teams.

Analysing capacity, labour availability, and material requirements.

Updating ERP/MRP systems with accurate planning data.

Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to the overall efficiency of the site.

Providing clear communication of priorities and deadlines to the wider team.
Key Requirements

Experience as a Production Planner, Manufacturing Planner, Scheduler, or similar role.

Knowledge of production processes such as assembly, fitting, fabrication, or mechanical build.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Competent using ERP/MRP systems for planning and scheduling.

Good analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
