Supply Planner
Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 (DOE)
Our client, a busy and rapidly growing distributor based in Kidlington, is seeking an organised and analytical Supply Planner to support their expanding supply chain operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in supply planning, inventory coordination, or purchasing support to take on a varied, fast-paced role within a thriving business.
About the Role
As a Supply Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring product availability across a broad and fast-moving inventory. Working closely with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics partners, you will manage replenishment planning, stock levels, and forecasting to support smooth and efficient distribution.
Key Responsibilities

Managing daily and weekly supply chain planning activities for a wide product portfolio.

Monitoring stock levels and raising purchase orders to maintain availability.

Liaising with suppliers to track lead times, deliveries, and order status.

Analysing demand trends and supporting accurate forecasting.

Identifying potential stock risks, shortages, and delays, and taking corrective action.

Updating ERP/MRP systems with accurate data on orders, forecasts, and inventory.

Working closely with warehousing, sales, and customer service to ensure smooth operations.

Supporting continuous improvement across the supply chain function.
Key Requirements

Experience in a Supply Planner, Supply Chain Coordinator, Inventory Planner, Demand Planner, or Purchasing role.

Strong understanding of stock management, replenishment, and forecasting.

Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with suppliers.

Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple demands in a busy environment.

Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
