Role Overview
As a Wireperson, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical wiring tasks on both control panels and machinery. This hands-on role requires a meticulous approach to electrical assembly, wiring, and testing, ensuring all work is completed to high standards and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out the wiring of electrical control panels from schematics and wiring diagrams

Perform machine wiring, including installation of looms, cable routing, and component mounting

Terminate wires to terminal blocks, relays, switches, and other electrical components

Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics

Conduct continuity and functional tests on completed wiring assemblies

Ensure that all wiring and assemblies meet company and industry standards

Liaise with the design and engineering teams to resolve any wiring issues or discrepancies

Maintain a clean and organised work area and adhere to health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a wireperson, panel wirer, or similar electrical assembly role

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics

Competent in the use of hand tools and electrical testing equipment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Formal electrical qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ) are desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience
